Our fleet includes professional push mowers for tight or detailed areas, along with three ride-on mowers — including a commercial-grade 60" zero-turn mower — allowing us to efficiently maintain larger properties.
This means we can comfortably cater for everything from compact town sections to lifestyle lawns in the 20,000–30,000m² range. Every lawn service includes careful edging around paths, garden beds, and structures using professional weed-whackers or dedicated edging tools if preferred. We finish each visit with a full leaf-blow of hard surfaces and lawns, leaving your property looking tidy, sharp, and well presented.
Hedge Trimming
Regular hedge trimming keeps your garden looking sharp, healthy, and well defined. At Wakatipu Garden Care we are equipped to handle everything from small ornamental hedges through to large boundary screens and shelter hedges.
Our team uses a combination of professional short-handled hedge trimmers for precision shaping and long-reach hedge trimmers with extension poles that allow us to safely work up to around 3 metres in height. For thicker growth or taller hedges, we also carry 3 metre pole chainsaws, giving us the ability to manage larger, more established hedges that are often beyond the reach of most homeowners.

Mulch, Gravel & Bark
Mulch, decorative bark, and gravel are excellent ways to improve the appearance and health of your garden while reducing ongoing maintenance. At Wakatipu Garden Care we can source high-quality materials from trusted local suppliers and deliver them directly to your property as part of our service.
Whether you are refreshing existing garden beds with mulch or bark to help retain moisture and suppress weeds, or installing decorative gravels for pathways and low-maintenance areas, our team can manage the entire process. We take care of sourcing, delivery, wheelbarrowing, and careful spreading to achieve a neat and even finish.

All plants are installed properly with quality compost and appropriate fertiliser to give them the best start.
Where required, plants are also staked or guarded to protect them while they establish, ensuring healthy growth and long-term success in your garden.
Weed Control
Effective weed control is essential for keeping lawns and gardens healthy and looking their best. At Wakatipu Garden Care we are Growsafe certified, meaning all weed control is carried out safely, responsibly, and in accordance with best practice guidelines.
Depending on the situation, we can utilise both organic and synthetic treatments, selecting the most appropriate option for the area being treated. For smaller garden beds and targeted applications we use professional knapsack sprayers, allowing precise control around plants and landscaped areas.
For larger properties, we also operate a 120L tow-behind boom sprayer which allows efficient treatment of bigger areas. This system is particularly effective for controlling broadleaf weeds in larger lawns and lifestyle sections, helping restore and maintain healthy turf.
