Hospital path...

The hospital was in need of a more tangible route from one of the car parks to the Lucas Place exit. It was intended to be semi-permanent but also wheelchair accessible. We opted to construct it out of crusher dust...also known as poor persons concrete! When water is added to compacted crusher dust it creates a very strong and sturdy foundation.

We cleared out existing foliage, including some very stubborn Ivy. We scraped 90m of pathing, laid weed matting and timber edging. 18 tonnes of crusher dust later and the hospital had its nice new path!

Take a walk down the path....

700 native plants and 1km of irrigation...

To comply with QLDC consent rulings, this client was required to plant over 700 natives along the Queenstown trail.

We prepped the two areas by weed whacking and applying a glyphosphate spray course over a period of 4 weeks.

Each plant was to be installed with a hessian mat to prevent weeds around the base,  a biodegradeable rabbit proof guard.

Over 1km of drip irrigation and topped with fresh mulch to prevent weed regrowth, retain moisture and feed the plants as it breaks down.
